In 2005 I took my first beading class at The Bouncing Bead and that was the start of it all.... this time.  I graduated from college with a teaching degree in art and one of the classes for my degree program was jewelry and metal working.  No beading just fabricating.  I taught art in public schools for 5 years then moved to San Diego after I got married.  I taught off and on as a substitute in the San Diego schools then  when my husband received orders to Subic Bay in the Philippines  I accompanied him.   While we were there I was employed by the Hobby Shop where I was in charge of the art studio.   I taught painting and drawing classes at the Hobby Shop and also taught an art class for the LaVern College Residence Center.  After we returned to the states and my son was born I began teaching private art classes for children and eventually went back to the class room  in a small private school.  All in all I spent about 40 years teaching, the last 20 as a Kindergarten teacher.
